CuttingRoom at IBC Amsterdam 2026

IBC is one of the most important weeks of the year for anyone working in media and broadcasting, and this September we're heading to Amsterdam with a lot to show you.

CuttingRoom will be at IBC 2026 (RAI Amsterdam, September 11-14), and we're bringing four new features that we think will change the way you edit.

What we're launching

Shortcut - AI assisted editing
Shortcut is your new built-in AI assistant. Tell it what you need and it gets to work - highlight selection, social reformatting, metadata tagging, rough cuts. It brings together AI models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and browser-based providers alongside MCP integrations with Iconik, Avid, and others, all unified into one service that accelerates every stage of the live-to-publish pipeline.

Blur - AI-driven privacy, in the browser
Advanced face, object, and bounding-box tracking powered by AI - and it all runs entirely in the browser. No content leaves the client device. For teams handling sensitive material, this means privacy compliance without any disruption to your workflow.

Speed
Speed up a clip for impact, slow it down for drama, directly in the timeline. Variable speed control is now built right into CuttingRoom, so you never have to leave the editor to get the exact feel you're after.

TAMS Integration
CuttingRoom is the first professional editor to support the Time-Addressable Media Store open standard. Our Reporter iPhone app records and streams live video directly to any TAMS-compliant store. Editors can ingest on-demand and live content into the timeline - including editing while still recording, and store completed sequences back to TAMS. No proprietary lock-in.
